The composer’s former home, where he lived from 1951 until his death in 1978, is now a museum, in accordance with his wishes as expressed in his final will. His wife, Elka Vladigerova, donated her share of the property, along with the composer’s entire archive. The Pancho Vladigerov House Museum – Sofia has been open to visitors since 2005. More than a traditional museum, it serves as a cultural and music center in the heart of the capital. The unique atmosphere of Vladigerov’s home, together with the composer’s piano and grand piano, both preserved in excellent condition, provides an inspiring setting for concerts and cultural events.
