Pancho Vladigerov composed works of large scope and various genres. Over 20 thousand pages of music scripts – 70 opus works, a large number of works out of the opus, as well as mixed opuses created as separate works by the composer, transcriptions and … much more music. All works were meticulously collected, inscribed and annotated by the composer.
Vladigerov composed in and experimented with various music genres – instrumental, symphonic, music and theatre and chamber music; he also had a large number of solo pieces, most of them compiled in cycles. He was also the author of vocal opuses from Bulgarian folk songs and opuses based on texts by famous Bulgarian and foreign authors. All these include not only the works which are unique in terms of ideas, but also the composer’s transcriptions based on genres, musical instruments and orchestras.
