Chamber music took central stage in Vladigerov’s career. His talent manifested widely in his numerous solo pieces and piano cycles, violin cycles, etc. And this was absolutely understandable – he was an excellent pianist himself, while his twin brother, Lyuben, was a violinist.
Vladigerov’s aim to develop and experiment with different genres, his search for different timbre sounds and the maximum use of the music material with a rich thematic load are especially characteristic of Vladigerov’s creative search in the area of chamber music. The composer often came back to his exceptional original works, looking for different genre solutions and this was the reason why he created such a large amount of transcriptions.
